Stuttering Programs & Approaches

These are programs and approaches people explore — not treatments Just Speak recommends. Some are clinical approaches with substantial research behind them; others are personal or nonclinical. Both are listed here so you can see what exists and decide what to look into.

Find your own path.

Speech-language therapy

Work with a certified speech-language pathologist, often a fluency specialist. This is the clinical route with the longest research history.

Traditional fluency and communication techniques

Easy onset, elongating vowels, light contacts, continuous phonation, rate control and pausing — tools a clinician teaches and tailors to the person.

Community & support approaches

Organizations that focus on connection, acceptance and shared experience rather than on changing speech.

Specialized programs

Structured programs with their own methods, schedules and communities.

Mindset & psychological support

Approaches that focus on fear, avoidance, confidence and acceptance rather than on fluency itself.

StutterMind

A nonclinical approach built around affirmations and mindset strategies. Personal approaches like this do not have the same research base as clinical speech therapy.
